90 Day Challenge Post #1

🛠️ The Challenge Begins—Late, but Not Broken

I’ll be honest—this wasn’t the launch I envisioned. When I signed up for the ninety-day challenge, I had every intention of hitting the ground running. But life decided to put me in park with a surprise hospitalization and a rough week that left me off the grid. It wasn’t just momentum that slipped away—it was that sense of control I’d worked so hard to carve out. But if woodworking has taught me anything, it’s that you can always start again. You square the edges, measure twice, and keep going.

This July marks the beginning of my push to lay the foundation. The challenge is simple in structure but ambitious in impact. Here’s the blueprint:
• Niche: Woodworking—because sawdust in your socks builds character
• Site: SellingWoodCrafts.com, where craft meets purpose
• Goal: Drive traffic, grow followers, and build a thriving community of fellow makers and appreciators

The checklist for Week one through four looks like this:
• Publish one or two pieces of content each week: project breakdowns, tips, stories from the shop
• Leave five thoughtful comments weekly on WA to give back and learn from others
• Share at least one post externally—think Facebook, Pinterest, or wherever the scroll slows long enough to appreciate handcrafted beauty
• Start a weekly blog or journal entry (that’s this post right here)
• And most importantly: show up consistently. “Done beats perfect” is the motto—and boy, it hits different when you’re rebooting from a hospital bed.

I’m not chasing perfection—I’m chasing connection. Every plan, every post, every comment is about building the kind of engaged, inspired community that woodworking deserves. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or someone who just loves the smell of fresh-cut pine, there’s a spot for you here. I’ll be sharing tutorials, musings, and moments that remind us all why we build—with wood and with heart.
So if you’ve ever had a project stall, if life threw your plans off the table like a rebellious belt sander… I get it. I’m with you. And I’m starting again—not from scratch, but from experience.
Let’s do this. I’ll bring the dust—just bring your curiosity.
